I have been working for a guy in Sherwood Park, Alberta, and we have talked about toys. He gave me an unopened can of this stuff today. It has a stamp of "FG" on the can. Price on the can was originally $3.15. Can anyone tell me about this stuff? Still safe to use, etc etc.
Thanks,
Barry

I was given a can of Meteor also about a year ago, well 1/2 a can. It also was FG. Used it in my .54 GPR. Worked fine, no problems but lower velocity than pyrodex. Then again it is pretty course grains. It's safe but sure fouls fast. Most if not all of this was made in the U.K.

Yep, it says made in Great Britain. There is no lot number or anything on the can other than FG.

Holt cow that brings back memories.
That was the first BP we used back in the early 1970's, then it disappeared.
The only available for quite sometime was the old Curtis and Harvey stuff, then GOEX after that.
Thanks for posting.
