CIL Model 380, 30/30

I live just down the road from Brownsburg . My Dad worked in the plant too as a carpenter. He used to get me factory seconds to shoot and hunt with. (cheap) nothing really wrong maybe a poor crimp on the shotshells or a lube dent on rifle shells. The plant is still there but owned by Orica. They make blasting caps for explosives for mining etc. In its prime they made everything from the casings, bullets, powder and primers. Excellent ammunition.

I have a CIL 830 and it is a Savage model 340
ANybody know what one is worth in good condition?

Hey Mike, welcome to CGN!
From the ones I've seen most range from $250-350 depending on condition and optics etc. They are a work gun, not a fancy piece for sure.

Here is my Grampa's in 222 Rem. The Weaver has two horizontal stadia, I am guessing for rangfinding. If it's for hold over at long range it will change POI by 12 inches at 100yds at least.:sniper:

It is the second from the bottom:

Suprising enough this clunker shoots pretty good. This was only 30yds if I remember right but still thats not bad considering who did the shooting. Using 55gr bulk bullets. Might get a chance to try it at 100 this weekend.:)
