CIL Model 470

Hey Gunnutz.
I was given a 470 this morning from a co worker.
Was surprised to see they were made by Anschutz. Feels like a keeper but needs a magazine.
After all these years on Gunnutz Ive never used EE so this is my start and will put up a WTB when i get permission.
Any feedback on the rifle or where a guy may find a mag would be appreciated. Cheers

Anschutz also called them a 525. Put up an add in the Rimfire sub forum. Call some of the used parts sites.

Mags prices for these rival prices for whole new rifles. Especially at gun show rip off prices. I suspect the best sources might be from uk or europe.

Post if you find some for reasonable prices, I too might be interested.

I don’t even know what a 470 is.

The CIL Model 470, a semi-auto .22LR like the 520 and 300, were marketed by Anschutz but not made by Anschutz. Perhaps the manufacturer was the Italian firm called Sovereign. See, for example, https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2023/11/06/rimfire-report-sm64-takedown/

Nordic Marksman sells anschutz 525 parts but the website says the magazines are discontinued.

At one time, there were youtube videos about modifying mossberg 702 mags to fit the 525, but I don't remember the details.
