I am looking at getting a Citori 625 Feather in 28 gauge. My question is, how well do the alloy receivers hold up to lots of shooting?

I've got a Cynergy Feather in 12ga. Maybe 800 rounds through it and nothing to mention.

However on assembly, the leading edge/point of the track developped a burr on it from me lack of understanding of putting it back together. The track is where both halves interact with each other. It was operator error on my part.

A lot of receivers are built out of aluminum alloy these days. They stand up to thousands of heaving 12 gauge rounds, none the less 28 gauge rounds.

I have a 28gauge Cynergy Feather myself. It's great for hunting, but I use a steel 28gauge for shooting skeet. I have no doubt that the aluminum receiver will stand up to thousands of rounds, but I shoot thousands of rounds each year shooting skeet.
