After having this gun abuse the #### out of me for six months I'm finally looking to get it fitted, or replace it with a CXT.

I had no issues with cheek slapping with my new superposed, did two rounds with the CX and now have a black eye. Is there anyone recommended in Southern Ontario?

Sorry, I don’t have a gunsmith/stock-fitter to recommend, but just want to ask you what you think needs adjusting on your CX.

After a Cynergy, I’m now on a 725 that cuts my face after four rounds. I’ve played with the comb, butt pad position, and my hold – but with no success. I’ve not figured out how to adjust the Pitch, and will probably have to leave that to a stock-fitter. Also, I think my LoP might be too long for me.

Does your CX have an adjustable comb?

You can make up a tapered shim, or just use washers under the recoil pad screws. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDZouGF9qUo

Pitch should definitely be something you should look
at if it’s slapping you in the face it may have to much upward pitch

Thats what I figured too, I may need an angled spacer. I can't even do one round now without bruising my cheek.

It does not have an adjustable comb, it's a CX sporting, I figured I'd get a gun I can also use for pheasants and other shotgun hunting.

I'm going to look at a Beretta 694 this morning, maybe I'll just get a dedicated trap/skeet/sporting clays gun and go from there, as my Superposed would be a good hunting O/U.
