Hey all,

There doesn't seem to be a one-stop shop for this information so I was wondering if someone can dumb it down for a noob and illustrate the differences in Citori models?

i.e. 325 vs 425 vs 525 vs 625 and then all the different names as well? There should be some master Citori document somewhere.

Come to think of it, I have the same questions of Beretta...

Old Browning (Beretta) catalogs, the various annual 'Gun Digests' and the 'Blue Book of Gun Values' will all help.
The 325-725 models (incl.) are all variations of 'Sporters', designed for Sporting Clays. I'm waiting for the
1125 Sporter Model ... should have all the bugs of the 725 worked out by then ;)

I've yet to see a 'cheat sheet' or 'Citoris for Dummies' explanation of all the permutations out there.
Seems there's a 'new' feature every year, whether it be porting, barrel length, weight, receiver thickness,
choke, overbore, chambering, forcing cone length, engraving, checkering or stock style. The list goes on and there's
a model to cover it !

Good answer, beretta boy, thanks. Guess I'll just keep researching to keep it straight. And the 725 looks good, but 3k on a first gun ever might be a little much for me.
 
Buy once, cry once .... the 725 IS a good gun, and you could do a lot worse for a first gun.

I've previously owned a 325 and two 425's ... wish I'd had them when I first started out shooting Sporting !

A 30" 725 with adjustable comb is pretty near a do-everything 12 gauge. ...Go for it !
 
I have had a 725 adjustable comb, 30 " barrels for little over a year now , very pleased. First 7000 rounds went without a hitch. I have a Citori XS special, thats going on 60K rounds, and still shoots like new. Big Citori fan
