City deer ..

I get within 10-20 ft of the mulies while walking the dog. They don’t even get up if they are laying on a lawn. They are dangerous in spring with fawns. Have sent people to the hospital and major damage to dogs. Life is easy, food water and safety from predators.
I got within 6 feet of a doe crossing the driveway. Absolutely no fvcks given by her.
They are really bad this year. This is the first time that they’ve been tearing up the lawn, and now jumping the fence into the back yard and messing that up.
I’ve been using a pellet gun to scare them off (I have a little dog, to say nothing of a garden in summer), but now the buggers are up and gone before dawn and I’m just left with tracks, crap, and their bed. I’ve even seen tracks right up to the back door of the house
There are 8-10 in the immediate area, and even more in a block radius.
Bloody menace. I wish we could have a bow season in town, or that I knew a guy who had no scruples with regards to poaching…

Was there friday, quick circle around Industrial Park rd. Seen a guy working outside at a commercial building & a deer standing >6' away watching him!

Deer, moose and cougars. Only a matter of time that black and grizzly bears show up.
We have a creek/stream that runs through town that they follow up. Mulie deer are fixtures in town.

I wouldn't call Lake Cow a city unless its changed in the last 10 years lol. And those elk probably are not around anymore

My son lives in the Windsor Park area ( Winnipeg ) mentioned they just put up a deer crossing sign not far from his house.
Over the years I've seen several moose and 2 monster whitetail bucks walking down the street in my city. My friend used to have an unfenced yard with an apple tree in it on the edge of the city and regularly had a group of mule deer including a decent buck frequently visit.
Years ago before shed hunting became the thing to do, I used to find a lot of sheds along the river within city limits. Some very nice ones including a 180 class whitetail but now a days everyone and their dog is down there looking and it's pretty slim pickings.
