Civilian x95 Micro Tavor anounced for Year end

There has been a lot of speculation here and elsewhere that IWI US intends to launch the civilian (semi-auto) version of the X95 at SHOT Show. We know there is a lot of interest in this model, but this rumor is not true.

The true story is that we are launching the select-fire X95, CTAR, UZI Pro SMG and Negev LMG to Military and LE customers at SHOT 2015.

Look for the semi-auto version of the X95 (non-SBR) by year end.

Hope North Sylva get IWI israel to let them have one of the first ones to start classification ASAP.

I want both as well. But sadly i think these guns at least 4 or 5 years out in best case scenario and worst case nothing but pipe dreams.

The X95 fixes the few misgivings I had with the Tavor, and offers some additional improvements as well.

It would look similar with a very slightly longer barrel. The model pictured had a fun switch...

This race will take at least 3 years from now to conclude at the rate RCMP works. The Beretta ARX100 has been sitting there for over a year already.

In terms of getting stuff approved, NS has a pretty good track record of actually getting things approved and they haven't got anything reclassified under their belt yet AFAIK. I don't know who will be doing the desert tech, but sometimes it also has to do with the skill and the relationship of the importer with the lab.
