My RFB is not a DS so it is not threaded. I don't trust anyone local to do the barrel threading to 5/8-24tpi so I have been looking at a few clamb on brakes.

Anyone else doing anything similar?

Here is what I have found so far.

The description on their site makes it sound like those require your barrel to be threaded and the clamp is only to lock it into position in the proper orientation.

It's too bad Vault didn't have every one of the RFB's threaded and just supplied them with a thread protector.
I would like to have mine threaded for a flash supressor (just for looks) but it doesn't bother me enough to spend the money.
I find the recoil on the RFB to be very mild and I don't plan on rapid firing it so quick follow up isn't really a concern.

It would be nice to have the option though.

Holy f**k...mine is LOUD now! I can't imagine taking a shot at bambi with a brake as well!

Yeah its lound, I put a kel-tec brake on mine kinda not to fun with out ear protection in the range. Il try it hunting if its to bad il put back the flash supressor :)

I really wish there was a 5/8"-24tpi Eliminator available to reduce the report and direct noise away from the shooter. I have been considering just paying to ship my rifle to Dlask to get it threaded and add a flash hider.
