So in Canada the max amount of shells in a semi auto shot gun is 5. But if the shotgun is made to handle 3 inch shells and you have a plus 2 extender and you can't put more than 5 3inch shells but you can put 7 2 3/4 shells in. Is this legal for 3 gun matches? Hope I explained this good enough.

You'd be able to fit 6 2.75 on a 3" chamber, but yes it is legal. A semi auto 3.5" chamber shotgun can hold 7.

On a 3" chamber:
7 x 2.75" = 19.25" / 3 = 6.4 3" shells, illegal.
6 x 2.75" = 16.50" / 3 = 5.5 3" shells, legal.

Then some shotguns can ghost load. Which is a shell on the carrier, with a full tube. And one in the chamber. So 6+1+1 for a 3" chamber. Allowed in all I've shot.

Thanks. Perfect answer. Sorry if this has been asked before.

Can it fit more than 5 of the longest shell it is chambered for? If yes, it's illegal. How many shorter rounds fit is not covered by law - case in point, you could fit far more than 5 of those Aguila mini shells into a 5-shot 3" magazine...
