Classic division setup

35mm is max magwell opening. I have an SVI on my custom Trojan that they just came out with, that is 35mm.

Well, just got her up and running, so why not flash some IPSC Classic bling....
My classic.......hard chromed Trojan, pinned grip safety, SVI trigger, SVI mag release, SVI slide lock, SVI ambi oversized safety, SVI magwell with frame polished and ground to match magwell ramp, bull barrelled 40S&W, use 10mm mags w 45 hybrid followers to load long, DPM 2011 recoil system, RHT mag release, aluminum grips trimmed, etc......I am actually in the midst of making a mate for it.........but in red.......
Can always pull out the pin in the grip safety if you want it functioning again...a 2 minute job (should be seconds but the SVI magwell is a bit quirkie).
Best firearm I've ever used.....

35mm so it can fit the notch that is cut in the side of the IPSC box.

Wow, that is a nice setup!!!! When things calm down here I think I will take my SR 1911 to the gunsmith at the Burlington club and ask Rodger to do a trigger job.

Rodger did this one, and trigger job, etc......and he's building my next one too....

i wish that svi magwell had a front part to it, if my reload isnt smooth its always forward. Still need to try milling down a dawson to 35mm

Its not that bad. The actual bevel in the magwell is there, just the front outer portion of the magwell is smaller. And I would not want to ride the bullet portion on the top round against a protruding magwell.....just how my mags react if I do. I like the slight recess.

That hard chromed trojan is friggin beautiful! My spartan is no beauty - its had many thousands of rounds, holster wear, dings and scrapes but I love her anyway and still runs like a top...

I swapped out my extended wilson combat paddle type mag release for a regular wilson combat extended mag release. For thin grips, the paddle type was just too big,..I kept dropping mags. For regular grips, should be fine.

A solid guide rod will smooth out function and a buffer to prevent battering. This will help especially if you use a reduced weight recoil spring.
