Classic Green destroying brass?

My Classic green beats the crap out of the brass.. smashes the mouth of the cartridge and puts a big dent in the body too.. ..

Has anyone every tried to tune the ejector so this does not happen.. ????? I have been thinking about trying this.. but dont want to modify my swiss...

Why bother?

So you guys don't think that a dent in the body of the brass could possibly affect accuracy when reloaded?

Personally I have never reloaded SAN brass (yet) but many other threads on CGN have indicated people get 5-6 reloads out of their SAN brass without issue.

It doesn't affect accuracy. The pressure will iron out that dent against the chamber wall with ease. The only problem I run into is sometimes the sizing ball will crush a neck if it is too badly dented.

The SAN rifles use the ejection port as an ejector. There are no options to reduce gas flow and allow reliable cycling. Many use a piece of rubber or velcro glued to the ejection port to buffer the ejection and reduce dents.

Some people reload because they can produce better ammo than factory.

^ THIS

But also just becuase you can afford a $3k ish rifle doesn't mean that reloading isn't worthwhile cost wise. If the cost for factory ammo is more than your value of time it is better reload. It is easy for the cost of ammo to far exceed the cost of the gun.

Anybody have a Classic Green that dents the crap out of the casings when it ejects them? Anyone have a solution to this problem?

It's not a problem, it's a feature. One of the things that makes it so reliable.
I'd rather have a reliable, hard ejection than an anemic one like AR's have.
