classic green ejection issues

i would not fire the 45gr Varmint out of any Semi-auto gun...the bullets are not crimped and could go tip up or down in your barrel on loading....could make for a KA BOOM......keep that #### ammo for the boltguns and feed it BALL...UMMV it is your gun after all

Had a couple of those 45gr jobs turtle on me.......bullet got smacked half way down in the neck.............

thanks for the advice jamie, but as the black special is so well designed the chance of the bullet "turtling" seems less than probable(unlike in the AR where the double cut feed ramp catches bullet tips and jams the bullet into the case)
besides i bought the rifle to shoot little/big furry things and i will not use "ball" or FMJ on them....

no problem....i would load up some 55gr V-max bullets to blow the little ####ers to hell:cool: and crimp them;)

What Ammunition Is everyone shooting in their Swiss arms?
I have had excellent results with Remington UMC 55Gr as well as win white box 55Gr soft point. The Federal American Eagle 62Gr. gives me a fail to eject or two every 100-150 rounds.

Odd... I've fired thousands of rounds, IVI, win, fed, and handloads through my Sig and the only stopages that I recall where from popped primers with some handloaded fed brass.

depends on what's available. If possible issued GP90 aka Swiss Ordnance 5,56mm.

Mostly 55 Grs from Sellier & Bellot, also fired a couple hundred Remington UMC 55 Grs through my carbine and the rifle. About two years ago we blasted a couple thousand rds of this really cheak steel cased Barnaul 62 Grs stuff through several rifles and carbines (with a couple jams though, this ammo of really bad quality)

I really like the GP90, if it just wasn't so damn expensive.
