Classifier International Marathon is back

We were couple people short of 30 competitors at our match at Wentworth today (no drop-offs too!), but it's hard to say how many will go to EESA. I'd book one day...

Let me know if you want to borrow scoring devices or need help to setup online pre-payment.

I'm in, and willing to shoot for two days if you need me to.
I have aliases for all my personalities so I can probably fill a squad by myself.

Interested. It will be a good way to get a classification for the newly posted first ever Ontario Shotgun Provincials.

Not to discourage you guys, but this won't really count for ICS classification, simply because ICS don't have any shotgun stages.

We might be able to use it to calculate Ontario classification for Shotgun. The only problem is how to establish the base line. I'd suggest to contact IPSC Ontario BoD about that... Maybe we could use international results cross-referenced with the standings at the last IPSC SG wold shoot.

I'm good with that. IPSC Shotgun in Ontario needs to start somewhere, right?
The more shotgun matches, the better.

I'm very confused as to how there can be a shotgun classifier marathon if there are no ICS stages for shotgun?

What you propose seems reasonable though.

Shotgun is one of the disciplines of this classification marathon. Originally it was a Handgun-only match that used ICS stages, later on Shotgun and Rifle stages were added. Those stages had been designed similar to Handgun ICS stages, so they could be easily reproduced anywhere and results compared similar to ICS.

John, stage dimensions and number of targets been posted some time ago.
cim2010.org/eng/cim-shotgun/match-info.html

I recieved that in a direct email some days ago. However without stage layouts I cannot determine how the layout would work for a range with them mapped on top of each other. That will effect us in terms of turn around which means time which means how long it will take a squad to go through the stages........which means.....................how many squads we can fit.
Remember I have run a few matches LOL

Anyhow, it is moo point now to explain how you can add up few squares together to get the total space... Stages are posted. :D

I am unaware of any bovine creatures roaming the ranges so I do not know what you are speaking of. With regard to "adding up squares" that is just evidence of your lack of experience in terms of range layout for multistage matches on single ranges.

But that is as they say a MOOT point as the layouts are now published and I can move towards a layout that makes the most efficient use of the range we have booked.
