Clay Shooting with Winchester TrAAcker Shotshells

ive tried a couple boxes.... a lot of money for what they are.. I wouldn't bother with them. id rather take the cost of them at $17ish a box, and turn it into a second box of shells.

I agree with Brooksy08. I tried a couple of boxes of each without any startling results. As well as the lighting intensity and direction the results also seem to be affected by the background but overall very disappointing.

I bought a bunch years ago when they were on sale for cheaps (10$ a box). They come in two wad colors, black and fluorescent orange to suit ambient conditions - black seems to work best most times. They are moving at pellet speed, so they can be difficult to see. I conscript the other shooters on the line when I'm using them. They are beneficial in helping you determine if you are consistently shooting off-target. Also beneficial for helping new shooters. However, at 17$ a box, I'd think twice.

A bit of a gimmick in my mind (and I have used both). Knowing you shot ahead or behind a target is good, but knowing WHY you did it is paramount (and the tracker shell doesn't tell you that).

They work well enough on closer targets but most people don't have that much trouble with the closer ones. I found that on the longer shots the wad doesn't follow the shot so the results are missleading. Someone who is good at looking over your shoulder to see where you are shooting is much more valuable in my opinion.
