I'm looking at getting a thrower, so we can set up in a cut block or meadow for some practice...

has anyone used the Trius "one-step" thrower? Foot activated and cocked, throws singles and doubles. about 125 bucks or so.

...or, at the high end, if we can get a few guys together, we could look at the Do-all electric model that has a 50 clay magazine feeder, which can run off a 12 volt battery and has a foot switch. It's 500 bucks US, so it's not cheap!

...or, other suggestions?

I've been meaning to buy a 'one-step' for a while... I've heard nothing but great things about them. It's one of the few good options if you want to practise by yourself.

It would be cool to have an electric... I guess you have to see if the amount of shooting you do justifies the expense. Wouldn't for me! :)

It wouldn't for me either, if it was just for myself... but if we get an electric it would be for a group of guys.

I would consider a one-step just for myself if it is a reliable unit.

Just type Trius in the search box as this has been discussed several times and several replies with pics already posted.

I've owned a Trius one step for several years and works great. Easy to strap on the ATV for some woodlot shooting.

Got it from LeBarons.

We picked up two Trius 'One Steps' at Russel Sports for our annual (charity) skeet shoot, about five years ago. They work fine and are very solid, but setting doubles - either stacked or in line - can be a bit fidgetty. :) Other than that - just fine.
