Anybody try Clays for a 147 grain puff load?

Looks like about the same as N310 but half the price and a little more available where I am. Would like to hear of a recipe before I try to experiment with such a fast powder.

Thanks,

9mm is a high power round and fast burning powder is not really a good choice although many of them have been used. I use tightgroup and I found it is too fast and dirty as hell. I am going to switch to a slower burn rate powder such as WSF,green dot or HS6. But if you like clay, it is very clean when compare with many other powder.

I found Tightgroup to feel too slow for a 147 gn bullet puff load.

VV N310 works great and is very clean just cant find it in Calgary.

Interesting you mentioned Clays is clean - will have to give it a shot and let you guys know what I have found out.

It might be fine to use clays in a 9mm revolver......I tried it a while back and max loads with clays and 115/124's would not reliably cycle my SIG. HS6 is THE 9mm powder:)
