I've no idea but I'm glad you did! It's a biotch to remove the barrel to clean it, it's like it gets welded on but the gun is nice and light to carry and points and shoots well. I shoot skeet with it every week and it's killed a pile of waterfowl! I never change the choke, I leave the IC in it for everything. Why you sold it I've no idea but I have you to thank for selling it and my GF for buying it for me! :)

I put a light coat of grease on the barrel where it slides into the receiver on my semis and pump guns. My Browning Silver Sporting Like your SX3 is a snug fit.

I've been doing the same and its still tough to remove. I decided to try Lucas OIl Stabilizer this time around. That stuff is SLIPPERY!! LOL

I had read several years ago that a light coat of grease serves to both deal with the tight fit and it reduces the vibration between the barrel and receiver. No experience with Lucas , i use a good quality synthetic .

This past weekend was the End Of Summer/Burt Brumwell Memorial Trap Shoot held in Wainwright, AB. The shoot was well attended with over 50 participants competing for the HOA 600 target(200 singles, 200 handicap, 100 pair of doubles) honours over the course of three days.
There was some awesome scores posted with a few 100 straights in the singles events and a few coming darned close to perfect scores in both the handicap and doubles events. There was a shoot-off for high gun in A class doubles that went one round without a missed target so the shooters were moved back to the 27 yard line to continue the shoot-off for a winner. It was over after that next round. It was a fun shoot-off to watch! It was also fantastic to see more than enough juniors to fill a squad and then some as well as no less than a half dozen women shooters competing.
On Saturday evening an awards presentation from the 200 singles event was held and a life celebration was held to honor the passing of fellow shooter Burt Brumwell who passed away during the winter months of 2021 past winter. After a toast to Burt and a few words said in his honor a birthday celebration was held for my wife as it was her birthday that day. She never saw it coming and she sure had a surprised look on her face when I carried out a cake large enough to feed the supper crowd and singing happy birthday to her. Afterward she told me she had to fight back tears as she never had such a heartfelt birthday ever. Here are a few pics...

18269278[/URL]]Beauty weather, lots of shooters, of course I had to miss it.

Sounds like it was a good one.

Yes too bad you couldn't make it. It was a fantastic weekend. It was great to see this fellow from your home club feel up to participating in one event. That is all he could muster the strength for and given his current situation and being his one and only event of the summer season he did great and posted a 90x100 on the board in saturday's singles.

This site needs some news on interesting shotgun clubs, particularly some of the lesser known clubs.
This past weekend I attended a 2 day trap and skeet shoot at Silver City Trap Club which is a short distance south of Castlegar on the banks of the Columbia River in SE BC.
The shoot was the Club's 55th Fathers Day shoot and a good turnout of shooters attended including some family groups to celebrate this special day. Saturday night featured an outstanding pig roast with all the trimmings.
A Club special shooting game includes a 2 man team shooting triples off the trap field---the third target is a real challenge.

Man that’a a tough range Bill. Do you need to hold your gun sideways?

Sorry guys about the pics but I did say the Club is on the side of a mountain. Seriously, the pics are right side up on my computer---guess my cell phone was sideways.
Shooting into the hillside wasn't as difficult as I anticipated as the full dome of the targets were brightly painted.
Anyways, it was a fun shoot and I plan on going again next year.

Well done Bayside Shooting Sports with a Successful “ Covid 100 “ . Semi Auto event with three birds in the air in rapid succession with report singles, pairs with report single and three at once. Challenging twist on Sporting Clays.

This was one of the funnest shoots I have ever attended . there were a lot of laughs when squad mates would get handcuffed by a true triple .
