clean case before unprime

Hi,
I got a Lee classic turret and I would like know if I can "unprime" my case with the die before cleaning cartridge? In the Lee manuel I saw that will be clean before "unprime" with the die.

Tumbling with regular media will not clean primers pockets very well. But you will have to pick out the media from the hole. I suggest cleaning before depriming. Then, if you want clean pockets, do that after priming with a tool or cheap ultrasonic cleaner.

Get a universal decapping die, and go ahead and deprime them, if you want. As mentioned, you will be picking media out of the pockets. It really doesn't make much difference either way, but it is easier on the dies if the brass is clean before you run it into the die. - dan

the univerersal decapping die is a very good investment, i should have had one years ago.
