Clean up in Locks, Aisle 7

Its always a fun thing to see the inner workings.
This is not the gun with the hammer transplant but rather an older still Auguste Francotte 16 ga centerfire gun. Conferring with Pinfire, we think it is 1870's vintage. It has seen some neglect having been put away wet a number of times.. The left one didn't want to rest on half-#### but following a good soak in acetone and thorough cleaning it seems to be working tickityboo.

Thanks. It was pointed out to me that these hammers aren't original either. At least they match each other. The lack of engraving and the poor finishing with file marks still present don't fit with the rest of the gun. Oh well. They've likely been there for more than a hundred years longer than the first pair. I'll polish those file marks and remove the black finish when I get it back from its visit to the gunsmith.
