Cleaning a .17HMR

I've got a CZ455 in .17HMR.

Does anyone know where I could find a good quality cleaning rod? Preferably a Dewey or something like that, not the cheapo aluminum ones that screw together.

.17 I would not use anything other than solution and compressed air. If pressed a plastic rod with micro fiber. Other than that you risk screwing up the faint rifling that exists.

I picked up two Tipton carbon rods from Cabelas, one for a nylon brush, and one for a jag, and it has worked very well for all of my 17 caliber rifles.

I have a small Otis flexible cleaning rod that seems to work well with my 17 HMR T-bolt. Realistically 17 HMR ammo burns clean enough that I only clean the rifle a couple times per year.

The jacketed bullets do cause copper fouling, so if you shoot a lot, you will need to remove the fouling on a regular basis.

They may/may not be the best...but I've never cleaned a .17 with a rod. Not against the idea, but I once bought a 17HMR with a badly damaged crown from careless use OF a rod. Naturally, the gun was in NIB condition. lol For the record, I use their regular kit for 99% of my .22 cleaning too only I also use their "super intensive felt cleaning buttons" if the .22 bore is getting dirty. They work very well, and the whole kit can fit in ziploc bag.

Dewey are generally great cleaning rods but the .17 cal. Dewey rods suck as they buckle under compression and stay bent. It cost me $100 to learn that lesson. Look for a good carbon fibre rod as suggested above. Also I only use jags and small round patches that provide minimum restistance when pushing the rod.
