I picked up a new SR-22. I knew nothing of gun cleaning and maintenance. I have put 60 rounds through it. Then I found a thread or some info on a website that said I absolutely must clean the barrel before I fire the gun or the stuff they lube the barrel with for shipping will harden up and mess with accuracy and stuff.
I can understand that, but is it to late for me? Can I just run a boresnake through with some solvent on it and get that stuff out of there still?
I'm pretty new to this stuff but if I've done a bad thing by shooting my new gun before cleaning the barrel, i'd like to know if there is a good way to remedy it?
