Cleaning Brass. Ultrasonic or Tumbler.

eBay ultrasonic cleaner

Check out item 8928146431 on ebay.
It's a small industrial type cleaner and if you check the sellers other items it will give you listing of what else he has and current bidding. I believe something of this size/type would work quite well.
A friend of mine, who has the smaller "20 cartidge" capacity jewellery size cleaner, advises a 50 watt minimum unit which ususally has a larger capacity and more power. He uses small thin plastic beverage cups which rests on the top edges as he finds it works better when nothing touches the bottom. The thinner the cup/beaker mat'l, the easier the ultrsonic waves travel through.
It may be an idea to contact someone who deals with used/liquidated industrial machinery & equipment (yellow pages) as you never know what they may have.
Hope this is helpful; KFN

Just won one of these on ebay. Same used in the article on 6mmBR. If anyone is interested, more are available and seller ships to Canada.

Item # 320084324907

Will post results when I get it and do some testing.

Bought a Thumber some yrs ago & results were not good after hrs of rolling around in crushed walnuts. A few yrs ago I bought a good Lyman & used the media out of the Thumber though in 30 minutes of less the results are outstanding. Thing I will stick with my Lyman.

I took the little ultrasonic cleaner i got from the source back .. just not enough wattage to do the job effectively. Need to go industrial .. problem is that even a relatively small unit is $300 to $500!

I think I still might go the rotary tumbler and ceramic media route.
