Cleaning brass

Hey CGN, to clean brass I've got a sonic cleaner and a dry tumbler with walnut media. For those with the same set up, how do you guys do it? Dry then wet or vice versa?

One or the other, not both. If you deprime first go sonic, if you clean with the primers in use the vibratory.

Dry tumble for straight wall cases, primer in. Sonic cleaner for the bottle necks, deprimed first.

As others have said, one or the other.

I de prime after as the dry media lube helps to lube my cases. If a piece of walnut gets stuck in the flash hole, then it will be cleared when depriming.

I don't worry much about the little bit of carbon in the primer pocket, but I only load 357 and 44mag.
