Cleaning old projectiles? ?

I got given a bunch of old .458 350gr jrn projectiles that are kinda crusty... the led nose has turned white and the jackets are tarnished quite bad.
Should I just toss them in the tumbler or is there a better way? Vinegar maybe? ?
Anyone else ever clean up old projectiles and load them ?

I use to pick up old projectiles on gun shows,some in relic condition.I never bothered cleaning them.As long as jacket isn't green it's good to go.Paper or deer won't know the difference.

Kind of the same like brass cases-shiny cases don't really shoot any better than tarnished.They might feed funny but won't last long but projectile lasts one shot anyway.

make sure you have good dust control if you do. That white lead oxide is the stuff you need to be really cautious about
