I'm looking to get a tumbler in the near future for polishing up the brass before reloading. Just wondering if there are any advantages to the drum style tumblers compared to the vibratory tumblers. Besides the cost, since the drum ones are a good bit more money it seems.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of each. Does one do a better job than the other or maybe faster?

Thanks.

If you want to wet tumble then use a drum style. Otherwise use a vibrating. A vibrating tumbler will be faster than a drum tumbler.

Any kind of liquid case cleaner in a jug with a screw on lid, turn a palm sander upside down, crazy glue to the bottom of your jug and voila... 30 seconds and your brass is cleaner than clean. Now somebody give it a shot and let me know how it works out before I try it this weekend. :D

Idiot.... :D;)

Up 'till the last sentence, I'm like "Holy Cow, what did I go and spend $150 on a Tumbler for when "his" solution takes only 30 minutes and is free?"

Drum rollers last longer. You'll have to replace your vibratory tumbler after a few years, depending on how much you use it.

I was told that drum tumblers work better, but I can't speak from expirience.
