Cleaning Question

There are places in my rifle that are hard to reach. Even after taking a thin, flexible piece of plastic, putting a small cotton patch on the end and jamming it into every crevice I can, it still can't reach everything and I can see crap and gunk still. I feel like If I spray my TCG with CLP (which I won't be able to fully wipe out) it will gunk my gun up.

How do you guys clean the little tiny nooks of your guns? There are some places that just seem impossible to reach, even with a cue tip. I didn't specify the gun because I actually have the same question as it relates to a bunch of guns.
 
Remington action cleaner works well. Sprays the crap right out and dries very fast with air. I dont know how it holds up to a nice wood finish but ive used on my Tavor in hard to reach places and its great. Just make sure to lube up after as the spray will get rid of oils too
 
as long as chamber, bore, bolt and trigger are clean, the rest of the hard to reach area are only clean when I do a major tear down. once in a couple of years.

If it doesn't disolve, fall out and impede the functionnality then I don't worry too much about it (not saying you are worring about it too much).

You could completely strip your guns once in a while too if you have the proper tool, but that's a bit much IMO.

What part/portion are you trying to clean exactly?
 
If you have an air compressor available they are great for blowing the crap out of hard to get spots, especially if you spray with some gun or parts cleaner first.
