I've used the solution that my optometrist sells for glasses. Come to think of it, he recommended it and even gave it to me

If in doubt, Zeiss sells packages of disposable cloths soaked in cleaning solution that they recommend using on all their optical products. I saw them today for about 8 bucks for 20. Just my 2 cents.

X2!! I buy these in boxes of 50 at my local optometrist's, but I do not pay $8 for 20. I believe it is around $4.97 for 50. They come individually packaged and are the best thing I have ever found. Handy and effective, Zeiss guarantees that they will not affect any coatings on the lenses of scopes, Cameras, eyeglasses, etc. Regards, Eagleye.

Would the water-vinegar trick be okay to get the residual solvent off the lens?

You could try that first

Then try rubbing alchohol or an actual eyeglass antireflective cleaner that you can buy from an optical

Actually, I found some at Wallmart in Bellingham for under $4/50
