Hi All,

How often do you guys disassemble the action from your Browning Citori and clean it out?

Is this a simple process that can be done with the standard cleaning solvents/tools (G96 triple action, toothbrushes, q tips)?

Thanks for sharing that link to Shotgun World. Holy Bananas, that’s an intense read but I’m going to give it a try one of these retired schedule days! Tons of good learning there!

I appreciate the heads up!

Cheers, Barney

Glad that it was useful to you.

It sure saved me a lot of head aches when cleaning the firing pins on my 725 Citori.

I do a complete breakdown cleaning on my XT Trap once or twice a year. I average about 4 rounds of trap per week right now.

Great tutorial.

Glad that it was useful to you.

I replaced my hammer springs with aftermarket after experiencing light strikes on bottom barrel. Unknown round count through the gun, as I bought it used. I wouldn't have been able to compress the new springs with a screwdriver as depicted, so I made a set of Channellock pliers into a compresser. Works well. Not sure the stronger springs were needed. Factory replacements probably would have done the job, and likely would have been cheaper.
