cleaning the GSG 1911

Enjoy your GSG! It's an awesome gun.

One area you should pay attention to with your GSG is the cleanliness of the magazines, and the spring tension. All of my failure to fire issues have occurred on the second round coming out of a full magazine. It's been a sign of the mag being dirty. If I still get a light strike on my second round after cleaning the magazine, I'll give the spring under the follower a tug until its 6.5 to 7 inches in length. Seems like the spring doesn't push the cartridges up enough so the pistol has trouble stripping the second round off. This weirdness typically happens after I've run 200 rounds through the magazine.

now I want to get a stainless steal bushing and the plunger thing and a steal guide rod .

Are you guys using the frog lube paste or liquid?

I am using the Frog Past ever since I have used this stuff my GSG is a whole different gun I love this stuff and its all natural a little costly but so worth every penny and you don't need much

Where did you buy it? I tried to add it to my Brownells order and they will not export it.
