What should I be cleaning in my TT33, apart from the barrel, after shooting corrosive ammo?

What about a nagant revolver? I'm looking to make the grips look like new again.

The barrel is gorgeous. Greatest I've ever seen, and the blueing is superb, but the grips are oily as hell.

As far as cleaning my tt-33.

First I field strip it. Then I soak the barrel and loose parts in boiling water and pour boiling water over the slide. The water should be extremely hot so that it evaporates quickly.

On the rest of the gun I wipe down any areas that have powder residue with a damp cloth.

After everything has been dried the whole gun gets a rub down with CLP.

Been doing it that way for the past two years and not one speck of rust.

I'm not sure how much more specific you are looking for.

I just make sure that every area that has or could have powder residue is cleaned with water first.

Just make sure you get all the moisture out of the firing pin mechanism. I try to avoid pour water directly into it. I usually use a little spray CLP to chase out any remaining moisture.

I can't actually get the firing pin mechanism out of the slide. The screw that is holding it onto the slide will twist, but it won't unscrew, even with back pressure.

I used so much that I scratched the finish on the end of the screw. :(

The very best method I am using is: Use "Slap Shot" degreaser (spray can)
on everything, especially the trigger unit, after lifting it out , do the same here, and use airpressure to blow it all out and oil lightly. You will be surprised
how clean it gets. The barrels are all chrome-plated and never rust.
Stay away from WD-40. Also the firing pin mechanism gets as clean as never before.
