I usually tumble my .223s first then decap and size. Would I be better to tumble after sizing to get rid of any lub. Could the lub build in the rile chamber the way I do it ?

I tumble first to get all the crap off. I don't want any dirt or grit running through my dies. After sizing I just wipe the brass off with a rag to get rid of the film of lube.

You don't need much lube to size brass, so lube buildup in the chamber - if you're doing it right - shouldn't be an issue. I use Imperial Sizing Wax - that fabled 'little dab will do ya' for reloaders. Never bothered wiping it off afterwards and never had a problem.

tumble befor sizing to keep crap outta my dies, then again for 10 min or so, after to get any lube off
