Climbing Tree Stands

I have a Summit Viper, hands down the most comfortable chair I have sat in, on or off the ground. Light, easy to climb with and set up. I have added a few accessory bags to it to hold some gear like a harness and calls.
Every time I think about that climber I want to put a tree in my living-room so I can sit in it to watch TV.

x2 on the Summit Viper. Bow hunt out of it and would highly recommend. Not kidding about being comfortable. I have fallen asleep in it more than once (wear your harness).
 
I had a summit for quite a while and found it easy to climb a tree, but more complicated to climb down the tree.

I hunt with a rifle and have found sitting on the ground with the wind is pretty effective so I don't climb trees anymore.

I have a Lonewolf Alfa sit and climb, and two different Summit stands (Titan, and Goliath SS). If I am going to spend any length of time in the stand I use a Summit.For a quick set up, and short stint in stand I take the Lonewolf.

Some argue that "mine is quieter so it is better". I have yet to have an issue with either brand, not one deer I seen from any of these stands knew I was there.

P.S... I have had some of my best sleeps at camp in a Summit.
 
I have a viper. I upgraded the rope that connects the two pieces - you don't want to lose that bottom half. I also took a file to the teeth to give them a little more bite. It's a great stand, but I prefer to still hunt - sitting for hours drives me nuts.

They are indeed...Light, easy to pack, and quick to set up. I use this stand for moving around often.

I find the Summit stands far more comforatable, if you are sitting for any length of time. I actually have a hard time not falling asleep in these...I have to force myself to sit over an hour in the Lone Wolf.
 
I can't say first hand but from what I hear climbing stamds a great if you have lots of nice straight trees but take some getting use to. Sound like they are a little nerve wracking at first.
 
I have a Summit Goliath. It is great! i am more comfortable sitting in this than most stationary stands. The extra space versus the Viper is nice. If you plan on taking it on a plane for any trip though, all of the summits are over the limit in terms of maximum dimensions. I quite liked the new Summit with collapsable struts introduced this year, can't remember the name though. I think that one would fit max dims..
