I'm looking to buy a climber. Something light and portable. Due to being rear ended at a stop light, my back can act up. So light, portable and comfy. Oh ya safe...safe is good too hehe... Anyone have any suggestions, or reviews on one they own. Thanks and cheers.:)

You have back problems, and you want to use a climber? Good Luck with that, they are not really the easiest things to use at the best of times.

Barring that, I have a Summit Climber that is light weight, can't remember the exact model, but it is aluminum, and very light weight, compared to a buddies steel climber. Good luck, but you might want to consider a ladder stand.

My back is strong, I run a cnc laser for a living and lift steel all day long, I also lift weights. That being said sitting on hard surfaces for long periods.. well not so good.:D

One word (or is it two?): Lonewolf:):):) For your condition I might suggest the Sit 'n' Climb model. I own the Hand Climber. I have used a variety of climbers and I have never found anything as light and silent as the Lonewolf. They are the Ninja of climbering treestands. After using a Lonewolf, everything else will seem like a noisy mechanical monster.

Thanks for the replies guys, Ninepointer have seen you on Excalibur forum. I have a Phoenix and a wonderful piece of equipment it is!!!:D

Summit !

By the way there are a few open houses at sports shops in Ontario in the next month. All have summit staff on hand and you can come in and try the stand before you decide. I have back problems and nver have had a problem using a Summit.

The new store Chesters in Frankford, Als Corner outside Ottawa, Shooters Choice in Kitchener all have these stands..

Well I ended up getting a summit viper and I love it!!! What sold me was it looked more comfy. I tried it out on a tree in the yard and found it pretty easy to use. Sunday I'm going scouting and clearing shooting lanes. Bring on deer season.:dancingbanana:
