Can anybody tell me if i can put a Mauser hinged floorplate in my 1200 super clip Parker Hale? Would like to convert it to hinged floor plate but would like to no what all is entailed in doing this first? Thanks in advance for any help

You may have to remove the 'nut' that is silver soldered to the action. It receives the screw hidden in the triggerguard. This is what Dan was referring to. It will break off with vise grips. May also need stock inletting work. Mark

Feed in a standard '98 Mauser is controlled by the feed lips which are part of the receiver. In your PH, feed is controlled by the detachable magazine's feed lips. Whether the rifle would feed properly using a conventional trigger guard assembly is an open question.
The stud for the middle screw would have to be dealt with, as mentionned. Once it is gone, you are sort of committed to the conversion.

The stud in my trigger guard going to the steel insert is threaded with a nut, I no this as i have just recently refinished the stock and had to strip it to do so! Stock inletting is not a problem... The reason i want to convert it is i got the gun for a super deal BUT it didnt have a clip with it... And the clips are absolutly retarded prices.... I could by 3 clips for my BAR for the price of 1 P.H clip... And i seen the floor plate assembly brand new for 49.95 so it seems alot more practical... I have lots of time but not alotta cash flow so i would rather get the cheaper assmbly and use my time to install..Thanks for the advice guys its muchly appreciated

Any contact info for Mr Jason Spencer? And that was excactly my thoughts on the clip to floor plate conversion! Thanks for the info?

The only problem with Jason is that he does work too fast.
Usually have to get out to see him twice in the same week!

I have one non-magnum long action mag for the PH 1200 C, new production that I will sell.
What do you consider outrageous for price? I agree that original PH mags are pricey, but it is subjective.
