Figured that title would get a look

Just my musings on mags and a question. Have been buying a few types of what's available any given shopping trip. Most are probably aware of all this but just my thoughts.

Aero Precision lower and tried problem ones on nea

Bought some imi polymer -5/20 and 10 Rd pistol. Both lock in nice and smooth and drop free

Picked up 5 usgi metal from dlask. These need to be smacked in hard to catch. Not sure why maybe someone can help me. Maybe a pry on the catch hole?
Drop free nicely. Sometimes too nicely

Lar15 functions properly

Atrs 10rd pistol. Needs to be stuffed in. Lots of rubbing and tight and and needs to be pulled out does not drop free at all ....yes this is still a magazine review.

What's up with the atrs and the usgi?

First venture into anything other than lar15/pmag/Beowulf which leads me to... Which sponsor has best price on pmag? 5/20 and 5/30 in 3 main shades?

Thanks

More than likely the pin is really close to the follower on that 5th round.

Even a full 30 rounds in a USGI magazine is tight to load and needs a good tap.

Are you loading on a closed bolt , Some mags , like your USGI metal ones might be pin at 5 a little to tight , that could be why they're hard to seat .

I'm loading with no bolt on the aero which is why I was surprised when it didn't seat and it needed a whack. All 5 needed a whack, at first I thought it was just one but no.

Nea has bolt and loaded closed but same thing.

I did notice a couple of the ATRS mags I bought last year were crimped for whatever reason and just that little but of difference caused them to be very tight in my Norc CQA and Armalite M15.

Yeah mine have to be shoved in and pulled out. Not so good maybe I'll sharpie it up and try it and clean up the tight spots
