Close call on Cape Buffalo hunt...

Id like to see how buddy felt in about 5minutes time when the adrenaline wore off. That looks pretty deep. I know a guy that had his father killed by a Cape. Took a horn in the leg and it cut his femoral artery and he bled out before getting aid.

I was thinking he was lucky the injury wasn't a few inches inwards as that could have been the end of him. Did you see how high his shoe flew?
 
Unfortunate it's uploaded in such a shi-te aspect ratio. Even worse than the stupid shorts in children's attention span vertical phone mode.
 
I saw a very similar event on the tracks across Africa show on tv about a week ago. The guy got a shot and hit a Cape buffalo, when they were tracking it all of a sudden you see it come barreling out from behind a bush and a guy was tossed in the air as the buff charged out. The guy caught a horn in the groin area but fortunately did not hit the femoral artery.
 
He’s lucky I’ve killed 3 Cape Buffalo and that is my worse nightmare, only once did I have a charge and it was by a different one then the one I shot. But I had one of the best South Africa Cape Buffalo PH’s and it all worked out.
