Hiya. I'm looking for a decent club close to Montreal where I can shoot a nice round of sporting clays and trap. It would also be nice if the place had a rifle/pistol range. I'd like to check it out before joining, so it would be a bonus if the place didn't charge a fortune for guest passes. Any suggestions?
 
There are a couple of clubs around montreal, there are two that I know of, the first is Montreal skeet club, it is in Les Cedres, it is west of Montreal, but this is a pricey joint. There is also another one west of Montreal, Club de Tir Valleyfield, this place seems just fine and it is significantly cheaper to shoot there. Both places have sites on the internet. :p There are ONLY 2 clubs that have clays and rifle/pistol:
Club de tir L'Acadie and Le Pionnier near L'Assomption. You may visit both this weekend. L'Acadie has the superior clayshooting facilities. If you are really serious about clays and bird hunting, then Le Club de La Roue du Roy is Canada's premier shooting club. You can get a taste of it at next weekend's Le Classique de Sporitng Le Chameau. It is Canada's biggest clay shoot comprising of 16 very interesting stations and over $20,000 of doorprizes!:)

Really cheap and nice. I shoot mostly pistol and it's always empty (you're alone). You need to have a guest with you if you are alone.
