Does anyone have experience/suggestions on it?

I just got some to use during my december deer hunt in WMU89B.

So far my cat seems to really like it, but i don't plan on any feline hunting.

Some people seem to like it. Myself, I tried one jug and near as I can tell deer ignore, or walk around it. Every few years I try another miracle deer attractant, with about the same results.:redface: If you want to bait, use bait. Otherwise spend your money on another trip to the range, gas or whiskey.
 
My direct observations:

1) Salt blocks: hit and miss they'll use it a bit
2) Scents: will cover my scent but haven't found any miracle potions
3) Apples: Bingo!!!! they hit them hard and eat as much as I put out
4) Grains: Wheat, and Barley seem to do well
5) Alfalpha: seems to work if there is a lot of snow

As was said save your money for things that count. I recommend buying a decoy. they have worked for me on occasion. In the right circumstance they may make the difference. Last year a decoy brought in a buck to within 8M of my stand and this year an elk decoy worked on three seperate animals bringing them in to 150M. Unfortunately it was bow season.
 
The problem with mineral attractants is that while the deer WILL come to them, they will only come when they NEED the mineral.....which is the spring. When the does are fawning and the bucks are growing antlers, they will seek out the minerals....hence the reason you see the huge furrows made by the deer in the commercials for that crap. Problem is, we hunt them when they are NOT looking for the minerals....so it's not a great short term attractant.

That said, it will help the deer come the spring, and make for a healthier herd. I buy two 20kg bags of sheep mineral (ask at a co-op or feed mill) every year and dump 'em near my stand every fall. The deer pay no attention to it throughout the season, but come spring there is a huge pit where I left it.
 
One of the guys put some down in the feed at a couple stands this year as desperation set in in the final days.....I think it may of actually made things worse, I wouldnt' buy it.
 
I tried C'mere Deer this year in conjunction with my trail cams, it sat for over a week where it was, and there was LOTS of deer activity around it. In fact I think the only critter that ate it was my DOG, who seemed to like it quite well.
 
anyone want a new bucket of 3 day harvest? $20 :p

bought some last year but keep on forgetting to use it. i guess i could go out this weekend and setup my trail camera to find out for sure....
