I have been wanting to experment with some new loads . I have frontier 45 acp 230gr. CMJ .
I wanted to use titegroup and when I look on the website it lists data for LRN and 230 Grn HDY FMJ FP.
Which load data would I go with. They both have the same max load of 4.8 gr it is the starting load that is different , the LRN is 4.0grn and the HDY FMJ FP is 4.4 grn.

.45 Automatic (ACP) with Frontier CMJ .45 Cal 230gr RN bullet

ASSUMING ALL OF THE FOLLOWING
Standard Pistol Primers (NOT Magnum)
bullet length = 0.642" (Frontier published)
Barrel length = 5.0"
Case Length = 0.898"
Case Capacity, overflow = 25.0 gr. H2O
Cartridge O.A. Length = 1.210"

THEN
Start load: 3.9 gr TiteGroup; 15700 psi; 760 fps

MAXIMUM load: 4.5 gr TiteGroup; 20,500 psi; 836 fps

I generated this data using QuickLOAD and can email the two pdf files to the OP if requested...

FYI: an additional calculation showed 23,195 psi chamber pressure using 4.8 gr - SAAMI Pmax is 21,000 psi for .45 Auto
So, as always, work up your loads safely!
