CMMG charging handle

Do you guys know if a CMMG dedicated .22 upper accepts a standard AR charging handle? I've seen a couple conversion kits that CMMG makes that come with charging handles in the package, I'm just not sure if their BGCs need a special charging handle to operate or not.

Yes it does accept a normal charging handle... THe special one is nice but... IMHO is not needed.

I have 3 CMMG dedicated upper kits and I just dont feel the special CH is really needed.

Ok cool, that's what I figured, the original charging handle on mine is broken so I just wanted to be sure I could buy a regular AR one.

Gotta be nice having 3 CMMGs.

Well, I have the 3 CMMG uppers, plus a custom TACCOM3G .22LR Upper (Built custom to be ultra light weight)... All get TONS of use since where I live rimfire has very few restrictions compared to centerfire.


Anyway, if you broke the polymer charging handle on your CMMG (IIRC, there were a very small percentage that had an issue with breaking)... Then call them up... Talk to Chris Kelly or one of the other guys there. They'll bend over backwards to make it right.

I have just been emailing them and they are willing to help but not ship to Canada. I have been told this twice now by them. they will help but don't expect them to send stuff. I lost my firing pin spring and was trying to get a new one and this is what I was told.
