Dominion Marksmen, I always thought, was a program put out by the Dominion Ammunition division of CIL. It died with the sale of the old DCCo factory to the Liberal-anointed IVI.
We had their program in Cadets, I remember and at the MRSA that I shot with out in BC. You started Prone and shot for the Bronze, Silver and Gold in turn, which were just cute little lapel pins. After that, there were sew-on awards for Standing, Sitting and so forth and there were awards for Revolver as well. You were supposed to use CIL ammo to qualify, not that that was any drawback: the stuff was GOOD.
Funny, though, I shot for the whole set of pins three times (twice with Number 7, once with DSM-34), never did get my damn pins! I'll pick up a set at the next gun show, if any show up. Be nice to be able to say that I HAVE something that ain't the virus of the week!
It was a good program.
