CNo7 Enfield 22 Build

This has me thinking - could an AR barrel be used? How about one in .223/5.56?

Lee Enfields have been set up in .5.56/.223, and work very well. A repeating conversion will need a recessed bolt face.
Don't know about adapting an AR barrel, though. Breech dimensions of the barrel are all wrong and most all are shorter than a No. 4 barrel.

My Plan is to find a source for 22 barrel blanks,I have someone who will turn them for me.Im sure Im not the only one wanting a Cno7 barrel.
