Coach gun for grouse?

I'm thinking about getting a 20 gauge sxs for grouse hunting, would a coachgun work?

Its an old Baikal. I bought it for $195 at a local gunshop. It still locks up tight, but I wish it had ejectors, instead of extractors. The finish was almost all off, so I just stripped it, and did a quick camo job with Krylon Spray Paint. The barrels were already chopped when I bought it, down to 25", so she has no choke, just cyl/cly.. Works great for the close in shots!

7.62mm how is the Krylon pain holding up?
Did you have to satin coat it or is it holding well enough.

I'm asking as I have a Zytel SKS stock I just painted with Krylon, and I'm not sure if I should satin coat it with Varathane spray or not?

I used a 410 coach gun for grouse last year. It worked wonderfully. My 12 gauge one works just as well....gotta love the light, quick pointing short barrels!

Several companies make 'me eltorro - baikal, stoeger, even norinco has a 12 and a 20 with exposed hammers. Some have choke tubes, others are just fixed.
