Coach Guns - enlighten me (Any Stoeger Coach Gun Supreme owners?)

I had a Baikal coach gun (phony external hammer model) that was reamed and threaded for chokes. I got a set of extra full chokes from Brownells and that made it one of the sweetest turkey guns I've ever used. A set of cheap fiber optic sights mounted with two-sided tape and you're all set. Easily a 35-yard gun.

I think having screw in chokes would be great to be able to use one of these little guns for Turkey hunting, or shooting Grouse on a logging road from a decent distant during moose season.

I've actually decided against the Stoeger. The more I thought about it the more I realised that I'm going to be using it for a fun gun and that chokes and recoil pad are not a must. I ended up cancelling the Stoeger order and I'm going to be going with a Cimarron 1878 hammer gun clone. Life time warranty through the distributor was a big selling point for me.

.... The removable chokes are nice as well, though I only own the 2 that came with it.....

...The removeable chokes are nice , but i still havent got any others than the two that came with it. Most places I have asked didn't know what to give me so I don't know if they take weird chokes or if the people I have talked to were just morons.....

I don't have a Coachgun but I have an older Condor. I use standard Winchester chokes like those for the Model 1300's. I bought the gun 20 years ago before I could afford a "high end" o/u and shot upwards of 40K rounds to date thru it Skeet;Trap;Sporting Clays and general hunting & fun all with the Winchester Chokes. These are dimensionally identical to the OEM chokes that came with my Condor and have worked great for me and as an added bonus they have the knurled ring which makes them easier to thread on & off than the internal flush-fit ones that came with it!

It may be a viable option for you Coachgunners!
