So I put 30 rounds of 12G - 2 3/4 Rifled slugs down range yesterday, and they really beat the crap out of my face.
I've put about a hundred rounds of birdshot through the Gun without issue, but the slugs really left me with a honkin lump, and bruise on my cheek.
I suspect the bulk of the problem came from about half of them, which I fired while seated, with a barrel rest. The other half which I shot standing, weren't quite so bad.
My shouldering is good, and I've been pretty confidant with my shooting techniques up till now, but the lump don't lie.
I did manage to put a fair majority of those slugs on target at 50 yards, so I'm pretty happy with that, but frankly, my ugly mug simply doesn't need any further deformation!
Any tips would be appreciated.
