Cobb MCR

I read a but about the new Cobb MCR rifle. What's great about the design is that it's a multi-calibre rifle that is easy to convert. I was thinking that since the lower isn't an AR-15 or AR-10 lower it should be non restricted.
Wondering if someone was going to import them

It would likely be classed as a variant, but could slip through if it can't fire a standard AR15 upper.

We tried 2 years ago to get US State Department to approve an export permit on the COBB MCR and they outright DENIED it... said NOT for civilian end users... Law Enforcement/Military only.

I doubt their position has changed since then.
