Hi,
Anybody in this area knows how wet is the forest this time of the year, creeks are flooded?
South of Hwy11 between Buskegau and Frederick House Rivers. Ottaway, Fournier, Beck and Reaume Townships?
I'm going there in two weeks.

Was up 240 kms north of Cochrane 4 weeks ago moose/bear hunting. It was very dry - locals told us they had a super dry summer, but had got a fair bit of rain the beginning of September. The smaller rivers dumping into the Abitibi and Moose Rivers didn't look bad - enough to float a canoe (some years they are like class 4 rapids, others they have been dry enough to walk down the middle).

Most of Eastern Ontario south of Cochrane has seen a drought that started back in May of this year - uber dry - wells dry everywhere and many "swamps" are still dry land right now.

Not exactly the areas you are asking about, but the ones I mention bracket them to the north and south...

Thanks for the info.
I was up there this year mid. June. The creeks were high, the puddles were full, the muskeg was a muskeg.
Will see.
