I can under stand why not to measure to the tip on certain bullets! Lead tips get disstorted and flattened. But then different style bullets have different a shape point:

The lead tip bullet as a Ogive of .140", the BT has a Ogive of .110". This is my problem, Do I have to find the distance to the lands for each bullet? As the smaller Ogive will not seat as deep as the bigger Ogive, will it not? Or am I just totally missing something here!?!! Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!! (Sorry for the fuzzy pic!)

If you want to work with the ogive, you need an OAL chamber gauge and a comparator to get the answers.

These are now made by Hornady (formally Stoney Point).
