I'm just wondering if painting my stock in cold weather is ok? I'm out in my shed painting it, giving it 5min to settle, then bringing it into my house to dry.
I don't really have any other way to do it.

Good, bad, ugly?

Spray paint sprays( out of the can) better/easier in warm temperatures.Cold can affect how the finish looks/lasts.

SKBY.

The only way I'd do that, is to keep all of my materials inside at room temprature until Im ready to paint. and bring it in right away. Or...
Fire up a space heater in the shed for a while to take out the cold, and make sure to shut it off before you start painting...
Im lucky, I got a spraybooth to use now...
NO more stinking up my basement ;)

In a pinch, you can use those cold/hot packs to keep your can warm enough to spray; just tape a warm pack or two to the side of the can.
Spray, then bring it inside to dry. Don't use a compressor if the weather is damp unless you have a very good air dryer unit in the line. Sputtering water on your job is NOT the way...:)
